Shawn and I hopped on the train for a three hour ride south to Miyazaki City to visit some friends, Lauren and Erik. We met Lauren and Erik at Oreintation in Oregon and the roomed with them in Tokyo. They are frighteningly similar to us so we all get along really well! They were nice enough to show us around, and let us crash in their apartment.
We ate delicious food, sang karaoke, kayaked, saw a shrine and two weddings, made guacamole, secured a giant jar of peanut butter, rode bikes, and bought car. Ok, WE didn't buy a car, but Lauren did. It was very exciting. It was a very nice weekend with great weather and company. I'll leave the pictures to do the talking.
